Internet Hiatus - I had every intention of blogging Monday however, when I returned home from a brief vacation Sunday night, it appears that my internet went on a vacation too…which has turned into a permanent hiatus. I spent an hour on the phone with AT&T “troubleshooting”…..(”troubleshooting” can be read as the help desk asking me to unplug and replug everything and reboot my computer. Having a finicky satellite dish has made me well-trained in the draining of devices which, let’s be real, never works.) Yesterday I spent five hours with AT&T….FIVE….in which they were still not able to find the internet. So, as you can see, this issue has hampered my blogging abilities.

Birthdays – Today is my little Danielle muffins birthday. I missed the big weekend birthday celebration but tonight we party (as much as one can party on a “school night” and when we all get up at 4:30am) Love this girl!

New Car - Last Thursday I said goodbye to Pippa and Hello to Lolly! It’s always sad to see an old car go but I have to admit, I am loving Lolly!

Mindy - I've been reading Mindy Kaling's book "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me" (which is basically like my biggest fear) and I've come to the conclusion that we could be good friends. Her sense of humor and attempts to be cool despite being not cool are pretty much right in line with my reality.

And just for good measure, some bathroom comments:

I have a sincere hatred for automated water and soap dispensers. Is there anyone that can wash their hands in 5 seconds? And I swear, I am 9 out of 10 for actually getting the soap in my hand. It makes all these chugging noises and right when you give up on it and move your hand, out comes the soap.
also, this is a completely unrealistic image as the stream of water that comes out from automated sinks is about the width of a pencil.

To my coworkers who shall remain nameless but who I secretly hope are reading this. It is not ok to talk on your phone in the bathroom. Ever. It is even worse to do it in the stall. A.) it’s freaking gross and B.) you make everyone around you uncomfortable. I feel the need to ask you if you want to mute your phone when I flush. If you’re going to be an excessive phone talker, do so in the lobby, not the restroom.

I have so much more to share and write but….blogging on the clock is most likely frowned upon so, until my internet returns from vacation, hasta luego blog-a-ritas (and ritos)!

Why would you ever have a need to talk on the phone in the work bathroom?!?!? So awkward and gross.

But yay for a new car!!!

Bathroom phone talkers freak me out. When I lived in the dorms in college, we had community bathrooms. There was one girl who always carried on conversations while she did her business...or she would sing gospel songs. So weird.

I love Mindy too, I need to read her book. Maybe we could all 3 be bffs?
