After a mere 17 hours out of the sky and on the ground last week, I took off again for South Carolina.
(My bedroom floor covered with two huge overflowing suitcases can attest.)
The occasion was three-fold: going to see one of my best friends from Beaufort, celebrating another friends birthday and going to the homecoming game at USC.
Me and Kristin in 2011
It only took me four and a half hours to make the three-hour drive. Gotta love Atlanta....and by "gotta love" I obviously mean lots of mind cursing and head banging on the wheel went down. But when I finally made it to Columbia and did a quick 10-minute change and hair fluff, we were off and running to celebrate
Natasha, Lauren the Birthday Girl, Katherine, me and Kristin
The next day we woke up early to tailgate before the noon game. We split up before the actual game and Kristin and I went and met our friend Megan who had tickets for us.
But not just any tickets. Unbeknownst to us, Megan's inlaws had a private suite up in the press boxes. We're talking a catered crib with leather chairs and suspended flat screens. From a girl that usually finds herself in the end zone nosebleeds, I had a hard time playing it cool. I may or may not have been texting pictures to family members. Such a cool experience.
We capped the weekend off with a night out on the town discovering that we can no longer hang with the college kids. Seriously....whoever thought that staying out til 2am was fun?!
How was your weekend?!
