So as some of you may have seen on Instagram....I had the privilege of meeting Sarah and Dayna this weekend (Pinky I'm sorry it didn't work out chica) :(
Sarah, Dayna and I had an awesome lunch....see here:
And then decided to get our nails done. Since I rarely subject any poor soul to work on my gross runner's toes, I didn't have the first clue of where a good nail salon would be in the area we were in. So we busted out google....which sent us to this adorable looking salon
Sugarcoat
Well Sugarcoat had an hour wait and since we are busy girls with things to do, this obviously wouldn't do.
So we hit the next nail salon....Posh Nails......which looked like it doubled as a pawn shop and like our only option would be something along the lines of this:
We did some further googling and did a driveby to the next joint...Glamour Nails.....and kept driving
For our fourth attempt, we ended up at Groove Nails which, at first listen, sounds suspicious, but Sarah looked up the Website and it looked legit. There were ladies with spa wraps and cucumbers over their eyes.
We walked in the door only to see probably the sketchiest of our options so far....but at that time it was too late to retreat. We were in and these were hungry nail people who insisted we "have a seat" right away.
The lady who did my nails only had one hand painted and sucked her teeth the WHOLE time. And while my nails were drying, there was a little stand of "complimentary snacks" that consisted of Lance Crackers, dum-dum suckers and a vat of some lime green juice.....all sitting above the wax and wax sticks. Vom!
It was quite the adventure :) And SO AWESOME to meet two new blog-turned-real-life friends.

i LOVE that chevron print!! so pretty.
I forgot we actually went to four! haha oh gosh....and I saw that green vat of mystery juice but it didn't register that was their "refreshment." I was too busy looking at the before/after pics of the laser rejuvination they offered.....gross
It was so great meeting you too!! We will definitely be back there soon :)
Girl I love your blog. I just moved to the ATL in February and your tips on the city have been great :) Have you tried Sole Oasis nail salon? I had a LivingSocial deal a few weeks ago and LOVED it. It's by Treehouse restaurant, off Peachtree in midtown.
finding a good nail salon is HARD! at least you have all 10 nails still...
looks like you ladies had tons of fun and G & B with a boy? how adorable!
I really think you should have just gotten some LV logo nails. Why not mix it up a bit? hahah
I'm officially the only person on the planet who hasn't had a blate... ok fine the only blogger

I am glad your nails didn't fall off!!! Haha, it sucks that it's so hard to find a good nail place sometimes... Looks like it was a fun adventure though! :)
Also, I love that you added the bit about G&B's baby at the end!!! I was literally on Twitter all day yesterday waiting for the news. Stalker, much?! So happy for them.
So jealous of your blate! I need to make the trip to Atlanta asap so we can hang ;) Your nails look gorg! Happy Monday lady :)

Finding a good nail salon is actually a very hard thing!! I empathizeee with your experience!! ahah!
Glad I'm not the only one with janky runners toes :( I was trying to be smart and went down a half size so I could wear thin socks...silly me didn't realize I should go up a 1/2 size and wear thick socks to protect the toesies!
yayy for G and B! :))
Didn't you call the boy thing? :) And seriously, I threw up in my mouth a little at that blingy nail picture. Woof.
Glad you didn't get any diseases!!! haha
thank god i've never had my nails done in atlanta! scary.
and i totally know what you mean about runner toes.
Why are nail salons so creepy sometimes?! Hahaha!
that is too funny. glad your hands are safe. ; )
haha so glad your nails are still hanging in there - and they turned out pretty good if I do say so myself :) Sounds like the perfect blate!

Yikes! As long as you still have your hands.... ;)
So happy that she's having a boy!
sketch nail salons are the best.
OMG sketchy sounds right, so glad you lived and that your pink polish hasn't rotted.
Happy Monday gorgeous.

I cant tell you how obsessed I am with those two. Cant wait to see their babe on the show(hopefully)! And I love your nails, they turned out just fine despite the sketchyness.
That sounds like a fun day...you know when i heard the Rancics were having a boy...i thought of you:-)
You totally would have won me over if you got the Posh Nails look...hahahaha.
You ladies are persistent!
Bummer you couldn't go to Sugarcoat, that place looks awesome! You know they don't have any fun spas like that here in Provence? It totally sucks.
Hey there! Looks like you guys had a blast! We are from Richmond and know Sarah so we have been waiting for all of the recaps of her time to ATL! Following you via GFC and would love for you to stop by and say hi!
