What the doctor ordered.....

BURNOUT.

It's something we all experience.

That point where you clean your office instead of addressing the emails pouring into your inbox

Where your poor little blog takes a neglecting hit

and you are weeks behind on who your friends are seeing, their latest purchases and all the new work drama

But this weekend was pure awesomeness.....and just what I needed to solve that little burnout situation

This weekend was time spent with a very sweet friend I see far less than I'd prefer

It was Shopping

It was eating out at fun restaurants

It was pool time

It was movies....most specifically Thor and Captain America (Grrr!)

I don't know about you but I'm ready to hit work hard today.
I'm ready for a week of getting lots accomplished
A week of hard workouts
A week of taking time to connect with friends
Work hard/play hard

What was the highlight of your Memorial Day?!

XO, A

Oh, even after this 3 day weekend, I am still burned out on work. I can't wait until my week off in July!

but the highlight of my memorial day? lounging around with my husband ... it was much needed!

So glad you were able to take some time off over memorial day and spend a few well deserved days with friends :) It is always the guaranteed cure for burnout!

So who did you like better - Thor or Capt. America? I think Thor is prettier, but Capt America is much more attractive. Either way, watching both in one weekend is a treat for sure! Glad you enjoyed the weekend and caught up with your friend!

I love the quote you posted about not remembering the nights you got good sleep. Taylor had us up almost all Sunday night and instead of just saying screw it and napping all Monday, we left the house at 9am and Memorial Day'd it until 6pm. It was a long day, but so much fun and way better than catching up on sleep.

i am so with you on that quote in the bottom. i should always remember that when i would rather sleep than do something.

glad you had a wonderful weekend.

being burnt out is the worst but seriously, long weekends help with that. i feel so ready to take on this week due to my extra day of relaxation.

Unfortunately, this was a crazy, sad weekend for me and my family, but I LOVE reading all the great posts from people who were able to enjoy it :)
