If I was Domestic

Being a new "pinner" has made me realize how so NOT domestic I am.

As I pin things like "Oven Baked Zuchinni Chips" and "Buffalo Chicken Tacos" in my kitchen folder, my brain is saying "Pssshhhhh.......right"

But I started to think? What if I was a domestic darling....

I imagine I'd start the day with some coffee and breakfast. But not just any breakfast
#breakfast

I'd click on my Fashion board to pick out a daily outfit
Loving maxi skirts for the spring/summer. MUST get this color!

Throw my hair in a fun little do
inside out bun

Maybe a little cat eye action

Then I'd wake up the munchie and dress her in this sassy little number I whipped up the night before
One Shoulder Dress DIY (via Prudent Baby)

And of course top her off with one of these:

I'd give myself a chic little manicure
sparkle french manicure

while my after-dinner trifle settled
Dessert

We'd spend the afternoon blogging (duh),  monogramming onesies
Monogrammed Onesie

and  getting inspired for a killer workout
LOL #Inspiration. #Workout #Weight_loss #Fitness

Then we'd spend the rest of our day playing in our Pinterest-inspired nursery

While our Pioneer Woman lasagna

and roasted root veggies dinner filled the house with glorious smells.

The End.

Dang -Market penetration and retention has never sounded so unsexy
One can dream right?

HAPPY MONDAY!

Pinterest does have a way of motivating me....and then slapping me back down to reality. Maybe Ill start small with just a few recipes and see how I do.

I'm happy to report that I've cooked loads of dinners that I've pinned. Now if I can start working on the hair tutorials I'll be all set :)

Hahaha this post is so great. I think like this regularly, and know that it will unfortunately never happen. I am majorly lacking in the domesticated area :/ lol

I love that you're so undomestic. ;) At least I have something that I can teach you, since you have to teach me style, etc.

i'm sure there are so many domestic women dying to be YOU right now!!

I used to be undomestic (prob still kind of am-haha). With the help of Pinterest, I have home decor ideas, crafts idea, not to mention hair and makeup. Plus, recipes to cook from. I usually skinny taste, since they are all healthy options. I'm actually cooking now!

I'm going to take full credit for your new found obsession with Pinterest! You're welcome!

hahaha I'm the same way! I keep thinking that one day if I ever get to stay home when I'm married I will totally be a domestic goddess....no thanks to Pinterest. hahaha but until then, us working girls will have to make do with health bars for breakfast and quick and easy dinners...or takeout. :)

haha. love this. love that you are on pinterest now! :)

I get a kick out of people who pin things like $1 million bathrooms and tag it "For the Home".

I'm not friends with anyone who can afford a million dollar bathroom. And if I'm wrong, why the heck aren't these friends hooking me up with dough!!??

Haha- too funny! As much as I love my job, I'm always thinking... wow, I'd love to just stay at home in our "perfect" home and make "perfect babies" and cook "perfect" meals all day long.

NOT.REAL.LIFE.... Pinterest is mean and deceiving ;)

Ugh pinterest is a constant remind of how un-creative and un-fit I am....yet I love it.

HAHA. Love this! I am really good at trying and sometimes failing recipes from Pinterest but I have yet to do anything DIY or outfit inspired. Maybe one day hahaa.
Ps. That girl in the Pink Maxi. I pinned that too and she had posted that you could find the skirt at Old Navy for $25. So I ran around and searched 3 diff Old Navy's for it, found it, and it looked horrible on me. Fail hahah.

I have pinned multiple projects, recipes, outfits, DIY's and other things...and never done a SINGLE one. Haha! Maybe I should try one. I did pin something about using an empty tic-tac container as a bobbi-pin holder...easy enough. I'll try it today!

Pinterest is so addicting! I wish I could make all of the recipes and especially have all of the amazing outfits i pin!

Haha!! So cute. Doesn't it just make you feel like everyone except you has their lives perfectly tied up into little white bakery boxes with twine? I feel like a sad brown paper sack sometimes looking at all the pretty on there. Oh well...doesn't stop me from trying to pretend too!! I'm so much cooler on Pinterest.

Jenna said...

I'm with you on this one, pinterest is so addicting, but also dangerous! It often makes throwing away my career woman lifestyle for a life of domesticity seem appetizing!

But, even if we do have time consuming jobs, we can still incorporate a little pinterest into our lives, can't we?? :)
