I Joined Army

Did any of you really believe me? If you did, welcome to my blog…you must be new ;)

Well I actually did join an army for an afternoon but not the camo-type……the red-kettle type.

Our office volunteered a few Saturday’s ago to man a Salvation Army red-kettle outside the Nordies.

And LADIES…..I’m just going to throw it out there, that the Red Kettle brings the boys to the yaaaaard!

I’d say a good 80% of our donators were male.

It must be the get-up….I mean, I think this red apron just spews sexy

But in All Seriousness…….

I was really surprised that the majority of donators were young…..teenagers and mid-to-late-twenties/thirties made up the bulk of our kettle-fillers. And I was inspired by it. It made me happy to see that in our world where our youth have a reputation of not being as wholesome as they should be or once were, that there are still young people with good hearts and intentions.

I’ve been inspired to do good too and to clean out my change and dollars every time I see a kettle too.

Be inspired to do something good for others today!
XO, A

I agree with Diana, you both look adorable. That's a good way to get guys to donate, haha! That's so great that you volunteered during the holiday season.

I love this. My post today is very similar to this... give back during Christmas instead of just being a consumer. Good for you. And you look amazing while you're at it :)

you look awesome in that apron.. i think you were meant to ring bells and be in a kitchen. ;) i think that's so cool about the contributors - i wouldn't have thought that it was the younger crowd!

Love this, any prospects like maybe a number with a 20 :).

Bonus you got to be inside it looks like. The ones here have to stand outside, its sad and cold. lol. but then pity often results in moolah.
