.....but in my 48 hours there, I fell in LOVE.
My boss happens to be from Chicago and talks of it so fondly. And if you've ever watched Giuliana and Bill you'll hear Bill talk about his incredible love for the Windy City....and as I was watching the other night.....I got the itch.....
something about that city captures the heart's of its dwellers and, apparently, even its visitors.
I took the red-eye the night of my college graduation to go to my friend Jocelyn's wedding
(Oddly, Joc and I both ended up in Atlanta after all these years)
From the time my plane landed, our trip was non-stop.
We managed to pack so much in...which is often one of the more challenging but fun parts of vacation
-those famous bridges opening up

-a trip to Cellular Field to see the White Sox play

-amazeball views

-a trip to Grant Park to see the landmark Buckingham Fountain

-a MUCH too quick walk down Michigan Avenue
-Yummy Food

-and of course a glam wedding

Though my heart is in Atlanta, today I feel like jet-setting to the Windy City
What's Your Favorite Chicago Landmark?

Aww! Seeing our wedding pic makes me want to dig out and dust off our wedding album! It feels like yesterday we were married there. In fact Brian was actually back there this weekend! My favorite Chicago spot has to be the River East Art Center where we got married and of course the Mag Mile ;)
As much as I live Chicago, I got "Georgia on my mind" :)

I've never been to Chicago but I would definitely LOVE to go!! That's great that you were able to do so many things in such a short amount on time!
I love Chicago too! I loveeee Boston and NYC more though I think. But Chicago is a close drive for us so it's a great weekend trip!
I love Chicago especially the Field Museum (yea a little dorky but so cool!) i've been having the itch to go back there lately and even more now after reading your post!
fun!! i've only been once as a 16 year old, and i was much too preoccupied with trying to get some punk to fall in love with me. totally need to go back :)
Unfortunately, I have a strong dislike for Chicago :( Growing up 2 hours away and going to a college made up of mostly Chicago suburbanites soured my taste for the city and moooost people from there. If I had to like one thing, though, it'd be that some of my college besties (unfortunately) live there!
Love this I lived there til I was 10. M refuses to visit :(
oh, i love chi-town! i wanna go back to visit my bestie asap!
I've never been, but I do want to see what all the fuss is about!!
i have never been to Chicago..one of the places i really want to visit. That and Vegas and LA
I've never been...but keep your eye out on Living Social Escapes and Groupon Getaways...Chicago is a popular one! :)
Aww fun! My husband is from Bloomington area (not far from Chicago) so we are headed up that way over the holidays! :)
I'd love to go to Chicago! I've heard such good things about it from so many people! My favorite place is NYC. I guess I kinda took it for granted how close we were before we moved! I miss it so much!
I love Chicago. If you are ever there again you should let me know I don't live that far away. We could totally plan a bloggy date.
OMG, we LOVE Chicago!! WE try to go as often as possible! Chicago (to me) has the best shopping and food...the pizza is to die for!! Ok, you are making me want to go haaha! Hope you have a great weekend lady!
I went to Chicago in May with my hubz for a four day weekend & loved EVERY last second of it. Michigan Avenue has to be my own personal Heaven on Earth. ;) I'd love to get back there again, but there are so many great US cities that I want to see...San Fran, Austin & Denver are stop the list for now.
Just found your blog & loving it!!
