Remembering

It was a Sunday night  when I found them. You know how when you move there are things that just get shoved in drawers and cabinets to get out of the way and be sorted through later. Well I was organizing bills when I uncovered them....a stack of my journals.

For the next two hours, everything stopped, as I sat leaned against my kitchen counter flipping through page after page of stories from my own life...laughing out loud and and even getting teary at times at stories and emotions as they came back to life....some forgotten, some still so fresh in my memory.

And I realized I was so glad I had recorded all of it....the happy and the sad.

Memories are beautiful. And sometimes, sipping on history is nice.

Memories only make the way for new adventures....and a reminder to live every moment to the absolute fullest.

How do you save your memories?

hmm well I guess I save my memories with my blog! (uhh and my Facebook statuses) haha ok not really... I'm a big fan of taking pictures... so thank GOODNESS Miss Raven sent me a camera : )

I don't know if I'd be able to bring myself to read old journals...
Although I think keeping journals is a really great idea.

i'm a HUGE picture taker, so of course those in themselves are plenty of memories...i started keeping a journal a while back, but have slacked on updating it. maybe, i need to start again :)

I wish I had written more throughout my high school and college life about how I was feeling. I did, but nearly as much as I do now (as in daily). For the past three years, I am been a habitual picture taker (some things never change) and use this blog to capture all my memories and thoughts.

I do this with my old journals too! It's so much fun to go back and read about everything!

I guess now though, I keep everything on my blog. I think it's kind of like a journal, but better because you can share it with other people.

i have about 15 journals with 10-15 pages filled in each. oops!! apparently following through isn't my strong suit. i like to think the little blog is a good place for some memories.

I religiously kept a journal in high school, mostly because I always thought something amazing was going to happen....whomp whomp!
I need to find them and bust them out. I kept one off and on for the last few years. I agree with Rissy, my blog has become my journal now. Happy Friday!

I wish I would have done that. I guess that's what my blog is for, right?

Now you have to share with us some of the stories that made you laugh out loud. It's your duty.
(heh heh heh...duty)

that's also another perfect reason to blog! even though it doesn't have the surprise/shock factor of randomly being found, it is also fun to go through past posts and see how my life has changed! i bet your journals are very entertaining though. :)

have a great weekend, toots! xo

Going through old journals is one of my favorite things. It can be SO EMBARRASSING though. Especially the ones from freshman year of high school. Oh boy.

I have only started journaling this year. For me, that is working. How awesome it must be, though, to have years and years of memories.

So fun, I had a journal when I was ten but that ended as soon as I learned my siblings were reading it ha. Typical.
