You know how I once said I am the World's Slowest Reader? And you guys were all like "Pssshh Ashley you exaggerate SO much. I highly doubt this."
Well remember this post back in DECEMBER when I asked for book recommendations and 82.5% of you said "Hunger Games." and I was like "I'm totally going to read Hunger Games.
And then I made my way to the Barnes & Noble over Christmas and bought this book....and started reading it in January. And then I mentioned on Twitter around March-ish that I was struggling through it and SO many people tweeted that it was the best book they'd ever read and I got all motivated again (seriously I think I read like 30 pages that week).
Well....I'm happy to say that after five months of reading I'm on Page 156. (And no, I haven't read any other books in between.) Do you believe me now?
But I saw on E! News that Hunger Games is becoming a movie.....in March 2012 so I have a solid nine months to finish this book. I think that's a doable goal. And it's important to have goals right? Right.
(I plan on astonishing myself by actually finishing this book)
Since most of us have probably blown off out New Years Resolutions and Goals by now.....
What are your mid-year goals?

Hahha you're so funny! I love this book! Keep reading, it's worth it!
Do you like it so far??
My goal is to blog more and run my first half marathon :-)
my friend devin told me that hunger games was the best book ever. but she's also the world's fastest reader. i'm like you...i've the world's slowest. i have about 100 more pages to get through on Water For Elephants (i've had it since like January)...it sat and sat on my night stand until i finally just said to hell with it and put it on my bookshelf.
can't wait to hear how this book turns out.
Hilarious! You can TOTALLY dominate the rest of the book in 9 months :)
My mid-year goal is to make the most of my gym membership. And to make some serious moolah as a waitress this summer.
i have not read this yet but WANT TO! Heard it was good!
I read on my kindle and get distracted a lot, aka not finish a book right away, and I know when i've gone too long without reading because my kindle battery drains out from NON-usage
i need more time to read! but i'd rather read blogs from all my blogging lovelies :)
xoxo
OH you are too funny! You'll have to let us know how the book is. I love reading but find it hard to make the time. I have 4-5 books on deck...need to get cracking!
hahaha well at least now I don't have to feel so bad about how long it has taken me to finish the 2nd book in the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series.
Idk if I want to see the movie... I loved the books too much. Oh and I get uber jealous when two gorgeous guys are fighting over the same girl. Yea, that's fair.

haha!! ok, i need to buy this book as i keep hearing about it. keep pressing on...you can do it!
HAHA. keep it up, girl! you can do it. if you made it through Twilight, you can make it through this. Twlight was like 3x longer. enjoy!!!
HAHA you crack me up! You'll finish it soon! ;) Sadly, I have to say I've never heard of it! Is it good?
i have no idea what hunger games are about but i know everyone has told me they're amazing. and i think i heard somewhere that liam hemsworth was gonna be in the movie.. hmm.
and as for goals, i want my SAT scores to come up when i take it in the fall! and i'd love to routinely run.. we shall see how that goes.
Ahh I so need to read that book as well. Someone told me that its FANTASTIC! Happy Monday, sunshine
Kisses
Ps: I’m hosting a cute scarf GIVEAWAY today! Just in time for summer!
You should just listen to the audiobooks! They are so good and make driving fun!
I'm totalyl still trying to finish 4 books I started (5 now) over a year ago. Never going to happen. I'm about as slow as you, TV just always sounds better. Oh well.
Haha this post is so funny! It's hard for me to be a slow reader because I easily become obsessed with things so once I start a book, I feel like I have to finish it right then and there!
hihi so funny, I read so fast. :)
I can whip through a book in no time, but if my life depended on my doing long division...we'd all be dead. You meet your goal girlie!!
btw, i didn't want to blog about how i bailed on my plus one date from last weekend. the dude reads my blog... let me just say that things would NEVER work out for us.
Hahahaha. You are hilarious!!
I read super fast, but my problem is once I start, I don't want to stop reading. Then I stay up ALL night and it's ridiculous. Ugh.
