Going All Avon Cellnique Girl

I’ve always loved experimenting with makeup – trying to see if I could duplicate some celebrity’s smoky eye or perfect pout, always scoping out new shades at the Sephora counter or trying some down and dirty peacock blue shade from the drug store. But as I’m getting older, I’m paying more and more attention to and becoming more interested in skin-care products…..especially since I have the world’s most sensitive skin and am more than a little terrified or premature aging and wrinkles….Trust me, it doesn’t take that many trips to the lady’s gym locker room to give you a fright! I’ve seen enough old nakedness to last a lifetime!

So no, I have not become a skin care rep, but I do want to tell you about a product I reviewed. A few months back a rep from Cellnique contacted me asking me to do a product review for them. One of their reps contacted me and we discussed my skin specifically and skin concerns. They definitely sent me their crem-de-la-crem product – the Amino-Collagen C Intense Set. I scoped out their Website and they have lots of affordable skin care solutions. (Most products ranging from the mid-$30s to the mid-$60s)

I was going to do a before and after pic but I decided to spare you guys -because let's be honest...no one wants to see my pores that up close!
I have to say the one major difference I saw in using this product is smaller pores - Amazeballs right? Right.
The texture is just like water except a little more viscous - and I like that it doesn't tingle or burn when you put it on. I never know if the tingling is a good sign and that it's working or a bad one and my skin is going to fall off by morning!
Overall I was very pleased with Cellnique AND it lasts forever - which also makes it worth it to INVEST in your skin's health.
I highly encourage you guys to check out this skin care line
Oh and check them out on Facebook!

Are any of you girls doing anti-aging regimens yet?
What's your favorite product?

That sounds like a great product. My friend uses Avon and she is very happy with their products. I also have a very sensitive skin so I can only use La Roche Posay stuff. They really work for me. Have a fantastic Friday, sweetie

I am ALL ABOUT the anti-aging skin products. It's never to early to prevent your skin from getting gross :-) I still haven't decided on my favorite product yet, though. Thanks for sharing yours1

annnnd another thing we have in common. I have the most sensitive skin ever. Haven't always...but I do now. I had an allergic reaction to Eucurin facewash!! back in Dec. I mean that's the most sensitive facewash on the planet. It's meant for babies and it caused me to have welps!!

Very cool. I have yet to look into anti-aging products... I have just used all-natural stuff thus far.
Thanks for the review! x

I don't really put a ton of thought into my skin care... I know it's awful... oops! But on another note..

No one has ever asked me to review, promote, or giveaway their wares on my blog. It makes me feel like a loser kid. I want you to do more product reviews though! so hey world.. send Ash some more ish!

"I’ve seen enough old nakedness to last a lifetime!"

Let me address this line first. What is it with the old wrinkly naked ladies just chillin in the locker room, sitting on the bench watching TV. Can I help you, mam? GO HOME! Why are you sitting here naked? Then bitches who just parade around naked bending over and shit. I mean, I'm not conservative but there is a fine line here. I don't need to see your cooch in all it's glory.

Anyway, great review. Since I'm in my mid-20s now, I'm completed freaked and obsessed with not getting wrinkles even though I already have a huge one on my forehead from giving people side-eyes my whole life. So I got some help from the sephora ladies and found some shiz that I really like - $45. I have sensitive, oily, acne prone skin and the stuff I have been using is amazeballs.

It's Ole Henriksen's Invigorating Night Gel: http://www.olehenriksen.com/p-69-invigorating-night-gel.aspx

It's the shiz. It is a gel so it's lightweight. I have a very pink undertone and this stuff evens my entire complexion out. I can totally tell a huge difference when I wake up and used it the night before or didn't.

Also, since I'm a nutjob, I put this Aldi night cream over the gel once it dries just around my eyes for double duty. It's this:

It's so cheap and sooooooooo AWESOME!

You're welcome for this long comment. TGIF twin.

I haven't started using any anti-aging creams yet, but maybe I should start? I just use regular old face wash and sometimes a face mask or exfoliant

maybe i should be thinking about this - haha. my roommate was paranoid about stuff like this and i was always brushed it aside. eeeek - crazy to think we have to think about this. :(

I don't do anything for anti-aging. Eeks. I do use moisturizer and SPF every single day though!!

That picture totally faked me out, at first. I was all, "Dammmmn, that old woman is HOT."
I'm so lame.

This may be crazy but I just turned 24 and all the sudden and really into protecting my skin in hopes of delaying the onset of wrinkles etc. I'll have to look into their products!
