West Coast Jones-ing

I don't know what it is, but lately I've had the biggest craving to visit the West Coast. Part of my family lives in SoCal and it's such a beautiful part of the country. But I've been particularly dying to see Northern California (why does noone calle it NoCal? I do wonder) and Washington (and no, not just Forks, Washington!) So since leaving on a jet plane is not in my immediate future, a virtual trip will just have to do!

Ruby Beach, Washington

Wayfarer's Chapel/Glass Church - Palos Verdes Peninsula. I've actually been here - it's just a few minutes up the road from where my dad grew up - pictures just don't do it justice!

Napa Valley Vineyard

Seattle Space Needle, Washington

Highway One, California

Washington Skyline

Forks, Washington :)

Northern California Redwoods.

I say we plan a bloggy global meetup and enjoy some fun nook of the country! (With one exclusion.....this girl doesn't camp. We'll have to go somewhere civilized - and by that I mean a hotel!)

Wha'ts your favorite thing to do on Va-Cay? Sightsee? Shop? Try new restaurants??

Happy Thursday Loves - ALMOST the weekend!

Beautiful! I'd love to do one of the wine tours in Napa. It's pretty tough to compete with SoCal, but you're right, NoCal is gorgeous!

I've been to every country in scandanavia... and never have been on the west coast of the US! and never gotten higher on the east coast than Mass. Ridiculous right? We wanted to move to san diego but the USMC had other plans. jerks! haha

That church is beautiful, as well as the vineyards! I got to go to San Fran fo' free a couple of years ago! A guy friend (no seriously, just a friend) took me as his date to his company Christmas party. It was so much fun!

Those pictures are amazing and now I wanna go too! Especially since the farthest West I've been is Utah. When I go on a getaway... which is SO rare... I love to just be, and do something I don't normally do at home. The last vacay I went on was to Key West and I was pregnant, so no partying for us then!

Maybe it's the fact that I grew up in Washington... but you need to go visit! It's a must. One of the most beautiful places on earth.

P.S. Love your blog. You're adorable.

Oh thanks you for taking us on virtual vacay! umm I want to get married in that glass church, never even heard of such a thing! Amazing! I love to try out new restuarants and find local little dive bars. Oh and shop of course! duh!

So this may be a bit of a biased opinion since I was born and raised here, but I agree I think So Cal is beautiful and Northern California is one of my favorite places to visit, Napa Valley is a must.

I decided today that if I am ever going to know my U.S. geography, i will need to drive through every state. So let's fly to Seattle, rent a car, and drive down the coast! it'll be good times.. and we can be TOTALLY touristy!
