Scared of the dark?

So my bathroom light has been doing this funky thing lately where it randomly decides to turn off even when the switch is in the "on" position. Inevitably this happens when I'm in the shower. Naturally that mini-panic of "oh my gosh, someone's in here!" sets in. And you know you have to look out, you just have to. Which, at that point - being absolutely clothes-less, stories up from ground level, a good 25 feet from a door or window with a gillette razor being your nearest weapon pretty much puts you in the "helpless" category. And even though I know my light does this, I peek out of the shower every single time expecting to see the character from "I know what you did last summer" or some equally haunting movie (yes, I put "I know what you did last summer" in the horrifying scary category and I've only seen the last 30 minutes of it). Stupid light...gets me every time.

hahaha...so funny. i mean not that you're scared, but your storytelling is funny. :)

and between you and me...my room is at the end of the hall in my apt and when i turn off the light in the living room i have to do a mini sprint to my room and slam the door shut behind me b/c i'm sure there is a masked murderer chasing me down the hall the minute the lights turn off.

oh my goodness, poor thing! That happened to me about a month ago and I freaked out. I grabbed hairspray to spray in the "monsters" eyes and a hair brush to hit him with. Soo pathetic! ( I can barely make it to my bed at night after turning out the light without getting palpitations haha)

But when I think about it it's funny, hope your light is fixed soon!

Oh gosh, that would scare the crap out of me everytime. Even if I knew the light bulb had been doing that :)

Oh gosh, I would totally flip out as well. And I'd probably make up some ridiculous story and wouldn't leave the shower until someone physically removed me.

i'm such a baby when it comes to that type of stuff! and just reading this made me a little bit nervous! haha.. i don't blame you for thanking the razor for saving your life after flirting with such death! haha

Dude, that's horrifying. I would probably pee myself if that happened. It scares me enough when Mr. A knocks on the bathroom door. (I HATE THAT.)

Oh my gosh...I would be terrified!! I always have this horrible fear that my house alarm is gonna go off while I'm in the shower and at home alone. What would I do?? Would I get out and see if anyone was there?? Keep showering?? Ahhhh!!

I feel that way in the dark...and totally try not to think about anything scary anywhere near bedtime. There are freaky shadows on my wall from trees and a streetlight, and I always think something is moving!

So scary yet funny. Being naked and alone when the lights turn off is enough for me to freak out. I love your story telling skills.
