7 Things About Growing Up

This is so much fun! Kristen from A Kapple a Day  (one of my fav blogs – check her out) tagged me in this fun post. Basically you list 7 facts about your growing up years! :)
1. Shannon and I would have “game day” every year where we’d replicate Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She was always the host and one time I won a one-night stay in her closet which she made over into a mini-hotel. (yeah, this would be where the stereotypical homeschooler in us came out).

2. Like Kristen, I too was a professional collector – anything from bookmarks to rocks to lisa frank stickers (you know you loved lisa frank too) – if it came in varieties, I collected it.

3. I was a chronic good-grader. I’d have mini meltdowns if I didn’t get an A on something and my mom would have to talk me down.

4. Me and Ilene (most of you know her as muchloveilly) were besties growing up. We shared a love for the babysitters club, sour gummy worms and the other finer things in life. We started our own craft club called the Krazy Kraft Klub (please excuse the totally inappropriate acronym; we apparently hadn’t gotten to that part in history yet) and when she moved to Japan we pen-palled it for years. I still have bags full of all our letters.

5. I was a candy hoarder – months after Halloween was over, I would still have bags full of nerds and mini reeses cups hidden away in my room.

6. I was a big-time reader. I would read 2 books a week. Among my favorites – Babysitters Club and Ramona Quimbley books. I have no idea where that gene disappeared to. I am the world’s slowest reader now – It took me 900 years to read the twilight series.

7. For our birthday's each year, my aunt would take my sister and I shoppng and to lunch - and she would let us buy whatever we wanted. It was glorious. Other traditions I loved were afternoon lunches at McDonalds with my mom and sis (have you tasted their fish-fillet? I know this makes me so ghetto - but it is the bomb!) and one-on-one dates with my dad which typically ended with a trip to TCBY-heck yes.

Tag – YOU’RE it! Play along!

Oh - and did you see? 100 followers! What?! Holler! I'm daily amazed that you guys actually care to read what I write and what's going on in my life. I have loved getting to know so many of you and checking out each of your blogs. You all are the best-you brighten my every day so thank you!

Happy Friday Loves!

So fun fact: I used to like to sleep in my sister's closet. Which you've seen photos of my current closet IT IS NOT A WALK IN and it used to have doors but I still used to like to sleep under the shelves and one time we fought and she wrote me a note saying sorry and that I could sleep in her closet. I'm a freak.

P.S. why does thanksgiving food sound amazing right now? I want some mashed potatoes and rolls and turkey and stuffing and...
