what our town needs...

I live in a small town. We don't have the skyscraper skyline I think is absolutely breathtaking. We don't have our choice of malls. In fact, we have to drive 45 minutes to our nearest mall which has a very small supply of chain stores and a constant rotator of stores with names like "man style" or "big and tall." I get it.

But, after reading other blogs and doing a little traveling of my own. I am convinced that our town needs two things for certain: Yoforia and Dry Bar.

I visited Yoforia for the first time in Atlanta this past weekend and LOVED it. The wall of yogurt has fun (low-fat) flavors like green tea, pomegranite and mango. (Being the healthy person that I am, I opted for cheesecake and dark chocolate). The toppings bar has everything you could ever want from candy to cereal to fruit and syrups. It is heaven! AND, it's all low fat! The nutrition info is posted right above the yogurt spouts so it's essentially as guilt-free as you want it to be.

Dry Bar was something I spotted on another blog and I immediately went into rage of big-city-envy. So what is Dry Bar? It is a salon (in LA) that just offers blow-outs. That's it! They have fun blowouts too such as the Manhattan (sleek and smooth), the Mai Tai (messy and beachy) and the Cosmopolitan (loose curls)...among others. They host private parties and have "brunch blowouts" and even head/neck massages. What a perfect idea for a birthday or a girl's day.

So Bluffton, while I do appreciate your upgrading efforts with a dashing new Publix right up the street and a movie theatre that I don't feel the need to pack a weapon to attend...please get with it and bring me a Yoforia and a Dry Bar. I promise I will love you more.
